As a freelance artist educator for October Gallery, I plan and deliver workshops for young people in response to current exhibitions.

In June 2019, I worked with students at Sebright Primary School in Hackney and the gallery's youth collective for 15-21 year olds to experiment with sound and explore listening as a practice.

These sessions responded to the works of LR Vandy and themes of 'journeys', inviting participants to devise a spontaneous group story. Participants collaborated to create a soundscape for this story using everyday objects, their voices and bodies. We learnt about and made some foley recordings.

Students at Sebright Primary worked with artists all week, and created an installation in the school corridor - the sound work formed part of this installation. The video beside is a walkthrough of the installation with an extract of the audio work.
