The New News Room was a collaboration between artists Hannah Kemp-Welch, Sally Noall, Rachel Noel, Alice Thickett as part of Uniqlo Late at Tate. Responding the Wolfgang Tillman's exhibition 2017, these four artists created a workshop exploring themes of youth culture, media representations and social unrest. The workshop took place on 28th May 2017 at Tate Modern, and engaged over 300 people, inviting them to create their own newspaper using texts, images, polls and graphics.

When news and media don’t reflect your life, how do you reclaim the news to understand what is there, and what is missing?

Building on Circuit artist commissions, and research within Organisational Change in relation to youth programming, these four artists have collaborated to produce a workshop that reimagines, reinvents and reconfigures today’s news.
