In September 2024, I designed a socially engaged art project for Manifesta, the European nomadic biennial, for it's 15th edtion. 

Week by week, Manifesta's mediation team offered a 'listening workshop' in each city within the Barcelona Metropolitan region. Participants explored the locale with field recorders, and local residents contributed their voices - sharing stories about the cultural histories of the city and their particular memories of sound. After each workshop, I cleaned and compiled recordings for broadcast via a radio transmitter installed in a roving venue. Manifesta visitors could pick up a radio receiver in this mobile venue to listen. 

I documented the project on Super8 and after Manifesta closed, postcards were made and distributed in the region featuring stills from this film. The postcards contained QR codes linking to the audio works produced, now archived on Manifesta's Soundcloud.
