Seniors Art School invites artists to Dilston Gallery to share their practice with the community over the course of two days. 

Despite wet and windy February weather, we had an action packed session using vintage film photography cameras and 8mm film to respond to the theme of 'stillness'. We developed three batches of still and moving image film ourselves using a mixture called Caffenol - a DIY mix of instant coffee, vitamin C and washing soda - from our workshop space in the gallery. We also used a variety of microphones, including hydrophones, geophones and contact microphones, to make field recordings in Southwark Park, where the gallery is based, which were used in a short film that we produced together.
