Listening Alongside
During the exhibition Your Ears Later Will Know to Listen, I delivered workshops in local schools alongside Nottingham Contemporary's team of artist educators. This resulted in a series of sound works featuring audio collected during workshops with local students and interviews with Nottingham Contemporary’s artist-educator team, asking what it means to listen to students in these contexts.

The audio works explore listening within participatory art-making, as artists and students engage in shared exploration, uncertainty is welcomed, and words are not the only mode of expression.
The artists listened to students’ voices through making and conversations. This installation invites visitors to listen, make and consider - how can we make space for listening?
